Course of Study

Mantellum Matris Academy publishes a recommended Course of Study for grades K-8 and 9-12.

We home educate because we want to teach our children in our own way, using our own methods and curricula, following God's plan for us.

I encourage parents to think out-of-the-box and create a course of study that suits their children's strengths, challenges, and passions.

Parents, raise new saints for Heaven.
Form and teach the whole child, all to the Glory of Our Lord!

Grades K-8

Especially in the younger grades, I do not believe every subject must necessarily be covered every year. Conversely, multiple subjects may be studied collectively within Unit Studies.

A detailed listing of suggested coursework under each subject is found in the Parent/Teacher Handbook.

  • Religion

  • English

  • Math

  • History/Geography

  • Science

  • Music & Art

  • Physical Education

  • Electives

High School prepares our children to launch into young adulthood. As home educators, we are responsible for preparing them well.

Whether their goal is marriage and family, a religious vocation, entering the workforce, attending college or trade school, or joining the military, tailor a course of study that revolves around the Holy Trinity!

I specialize in advising parents on crafting a plan that breaks tradition and guides you on finding your child's passions, capitalizing on their strengths and challenges, and meeting the requirements of their chosen path.

This Recommended Course of Study meets the basic requirements, for application to Newman Guide Recommended Catholic Colleges and Trade Schools. It exceeds requirements for most other colleges.

Detailed suggestions for "out of the box" coursework under each subject are included in our Parent-Teacher handbook.
